Potomac Exiles signed to Old Glory MLR team

Three current Potomac Exiles Rugby Club (PERC) players were signed by the Washington DC Pro-Rugby team, Old Glory.  Congratulations to John Davis, Guy Lopresti and Dante Lopresti for earning spots on DC’s first Major League Rugby team for the inaugural season.

 

John started playing rugby at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC. He went on to play for the University of Maryland and earned All-Atlantic Cup Rugby First Team Honors and played in the Collegiate Rugby Championships (CRCs). John currently plays in the backline for the  Potomac Exiles Rugby Club at inside center.

 

Guy started playing rugby at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC. He went on to play for the University of Maryland where he received Atlantic Coast Rugby League Fall XV First Team Honors. He represented Maryland at the Collegiate Rugby Championships (CRCs). Guy currently plays in the back row and occasionally hooker for Potomac Exiles Rugby Club.

 

Dante was a captain at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC. In 2016 he was a US Rugby Foundation Kevin Higgins Scholarship recipient and went on to play at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. Dante is currently a front-row player for the PERC switching between hooker and prop as needed.
