PERC had an excellent weekend of rugby all around, with both the Division 1 and Division 2 side winning their matches against a strong Schuylkill River club. Grit and game management were the determining factors that lead PERC to its first league victory of the season. Both sides showed strength in rucking and defensive play, and the game management by the both sides’ 9’s and 10’s was superb.

Division 2 Final Score: PERC 36 – Schuylkill River 19

With momentum in their favor, PERC capitalized on a offensive zone scrum where J’son Townes took a pass off the scrummy and broke three tackles on his way to a try between the posts. After a turnover, and strong possession at midfield, PERC was able to spread the ball with great passing through the hands to Alfred on the wing who beat a defender and finished with a 40 meter try.
